MCS 380 - Ecocriticism3 credits Students can expect to engage with different forms of nonfiction and theoretical approaches to ecological and environmental issues, including writers from around the world who illuminate this problem from particular places. Topics may include examining how literature and other artforms represent ecological and environmental issues in imagistic and narrative ways; exploring globe-spanning varieties of Indigenous TEK (traditional ecological knowledge); or examining contemporary environmental activists’ and writer/artist¿s use of various media forms to shape environmental thought and action. Prerequisite(s): ENG 151 or Non-Degree Seeking Student
