MCS 171 - Media, Culture, and Society

This course invites students to explore the dynamic relationship between media and culture. Through engaging readings, discussions, and analysis of diverse media forms, including print, photography, maps, painting, landscapes, and social media. We will examine how media shapes the ways we see, think, and interact with the world around us. Students will learn key concepts and theories from media and cultural studies, investigating both the unique qualities of different media and the common threads that connect them.
