SWK 203 - Introduction to Social Work Research and Professional Writing Skills

3 credits
The purpose of this course is to provide students with an orientation to the research process as well as and opportunity to improve their critical thinking and writing skills for applied research and professional social work practice. This course will introduce the research process, research design, define research terminology, and emphasize ethical and cultural considerations when engaging in research to inform practice. Writing skills, for the purpose of research, research reports, and other professional social work documentation and projects will be emphasized.
