GER 100 - Introduction to Gerontology

This course provides an introduction to the field of gerontology, including the sociology of aging, theories of aging, exploring the common experiences, strengths, and needs of older adults as well as developing knowledge and self-awareness of biases that contribute to ageist beliefs. Programs and policies that influence older adults will also be explored.
