SWK 315 - Social Work Practice I3 credits The first of three practice classes, students acquire entry-level skills such as interpersonal communication skills, interviewing, data collection, documentation, and dealing with ethical dilemmas necessary for beginning generalist social work practice. Critical thinking and self-exploration are integral components of coursework. Person-in-environment framework, empowerment approach, and a strengths perspective in relation to the individual system are emphasized. Prerequisite(s): Admission into the BSW program required, SWK 396A
