Mission & Outcomes

Mission: Our mission is to prepare our students for in-demand accounting, auditing, and financial roles within the corporate, non-for-profit, governmental, international, and private sectors. Our program provides training in advanced accounting topics and gives a thorough understanding of the strategic role accounting plays in business. Students will also be ready for further study towards becoming a Certified Public Accountant.

Outcomes:

1) Our graduates will be able to apply knowledge of the standards set by the authoratative bodies responsible for financial reporting and managerial accounting theories to business organizations, state and legal governments, and not-for-profit organizations.

2) Our graduates will be able to prepare financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

3) Our graduates will be able to identify and implement the appropriate managerial methods to analyze and evaulate accounting data while ensuring the integrity of financial information and its impact on multiple stakeholders.

4) Our graduates will be able to use clear and concise communication to convey relevant financial and non-financial information so that decision makers can formulate informed decisions.

5) Our graduates will be able to assess information technology and evaluate emerging technologies to select the most appropriate tools to create efficiences in the business process.

6) Our graduates will be able to demonstrate a practial and theoretical understanding of managerial and leadership skills across business disciplines.
