GIS 308 - Fundamentals of GIS

The course provides a comprehensive introduction to concepts and techniques of geographic information systems (GIS). Topics include basic GIS concepts (GIS data types, models, management, queries, and spatial reference), cartography, data classification and symbolization, data creation and editing, spatial analysis on vector and raster data, and problem solving with GIS.
