EDU 372 - Social Studies for the Young Child

Provides students with theoretical perspectives about developmentally appropriate experiences that help young children inquire about communities of the world, their history, and their backgrounds. This course emphasizes young children’s social studies as a process that prepares individuals to live in groups and to develop systems that support democratic living. Five (5) hours of field experience required.
