EDU 354 - Early Childhood Literacy and Language Development

3 credits
Early Childhood Literacy introduces research-based perspectives on early literacy acquisition during Birth-Grade 3. This course emphasizes the integration of oral language, vocabulary, alphabet knowledge, phonological awareness, word and print awareness, and writing for teaching young children’s early language and literacy skills, considering both cognitive and sociocultural perspectives. 4 hours of Field Experience required.
