HEA 415 - Environmental Health3 credits This course comprehensively explores the relationships between the environment and human health. Students will examine various environmental factors-such as air and water quality, hazardous waste, climate change, and biodiversity loss-and their impacts on public health. Emphasis will be placed on identifying and assessing environmental health hazards, understanding risk assessment and management strategies, and exploring the role of policy and regulation in protecting community health. Students will analyze the complex interactions between environmental factors and health outcomes through real-world examples and case studies, considering socio-economic, cultural, and geographic determinants.
