ART 205 - Color Theory

This course explores the language of color, examining color relationships, mixing, and its role in communication and expression. Students will apply color as a design element and its historical significance in various visual arts. Emphasizing the subtractive color system, the curriculum includes studio exercises, readings, slide presentations, and critiques. Ideal for those pursuing careers in paining, sculpture, graphic design, education or marketing, this course focuses on the principles of color without requiring advanced drawing or painting skills.
