GEY 112 - Fundamentals of Geology

4 credits
This introductory geology course investigates internal geologic processes within the context of plate tectonics theory, including igneous processes and volcanic eruptions, metamorphism, earthquakes, mountain building, and rock deformation, and explores surface geologic processes of weathering, erosion, deposition, and landslides by streams, glaciers, waves, groundwater, and gravity. The course focuses on the impact of geologic processes on our living environment. Lecture and Lab combined
