ART 270 - Relief Print and Intaglio3 credits An introduction to the concepts, techniques, and creative possibilities of printmaking. Students will explore a variety of mono-printing, relief printing, and experimental techniques while investigating both traditional and contemporary practices. This course emphasizes creative problem-solving and an understanding of printmaking as a dynamic form of artistic expression. Processes such as stamping, linocut, monotype, monoprint, collagraph, and other versatile methods, using both black-and-white and color applications will be introduced.
