Introduction to five religions that, because of their impact on world civilizations, are known as the “great” religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Emphasizes these religions as active contributors to world civilization, and as shapers of current global political ideologies and dilemmas.
