Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician/Community Certification (MHRT/C)

The Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician/Community (MHRT/C) certificate meets the MaineCare “other qualified mental health professional” requirement for providing specific services to adults. Those services include community integration, intensive case management, assertive community treatment, skills development, day support services and family psycho‐education. The MHRT/C certification program is competency-based, enabling those with a variety of backgrounds who have appropriate education, work experience and training to earn certification. UMPI offers three pathways to receive this certification.
