BIO 112 - General Biology I4 credits The first semester of a two-semester lecture and laboratory course in biology which serves as the prerequisite for upper level biology courses. The lecture portion introduces the basic principles and levels of biological organization from the cell through the organism to ecosystems. The laboratory introduces scientific investigative procedures, methods, equipment, and techniques as applied to selected biological phenomena. Three lecture hours and three laboratory hours per week.
