SOC 100 - Introduction to Sociology3 credits Provides multicultural and global examinations of the relationship of the self to society. Introduces students to the systematic study of human society through sociological perspective and method. Emphasizes analysis of problems of social order and change. Includes socialization, social class and inequality, race and ethnicity, gender, social movements, social institutions, community, globalization, and deviance. Prerequisite(s): A passing score on both the reading and writing placement tests or successful completion of ENG 100 or a non-degree seeking student
