CRJ 376 - Punishment and Correction3 credits This course provides an overview of the history of punishment as a social action and the development of the prison as an institution. A review of the current state of US corrections and the expansion of penal institutions in the US over the past three decades is combined with various special topics within punishment and corrections. Prerequisite(s): CRJ 230 and SOC 230
