3-6credits Introduction to archaeological field techniques through excavation of an archaeological site. Intensive training in site survey, excavation technique, recording, analysis and preliminary interpretation of archaeological materials. Students will work with Mi’kmaq and Maliseet tribal members to conduct ethical research and address indigenous peoples’ concerns regarding sensitive issues.
